Parent permanent residence visa

143 Contributing Parent Permanent Residence Visa Overview

Compared with the long processing cycle of Australia's 103 parent immigrant visa, the processing time of 143 visa and 173 visa is short, which can reunite parents and children as soon as possible. The contributive parent visa can be divided into two categories: the 143 Contributive Parent Permanent Residence Visa and the 173 Contributive Parent Temporary visa. The difference is that the 143 visa requires a one-time payment of the full contribution. The 173 Contributing Parent Temporary visa allows all contributions to be paid in two instalments and converted to a permanent residence visa when the remaining contribution is paid within two years. Parents on a 143 visa cannot receive an Australian pension for 10 years.
